It was a cold, drizzly day so we almost didn't go, but we really wanted to get out of the house and we were glad we went because the falls were so beautiful in that weather. I haven't counted them, but I'd guess there's around 10 falls throughout the park.
My lawn! I grew up around Oregon, and SCF is to this day one of the few places on the planet where I am completely and totally at home. It came to me on acid once, while hiking the falls with "Lawn Boy" stuck in my head - that place is my lawn, always and forever. I can even smell the colors all the way out here. Thank you for that gift of seeing it. It's been far too long.
Wow! That really is beautiful, it looks very intensely warm. Looks as if it's beautiful in the way that *perhaps not too many people see it's perfection and it's probably not overcrowded/overused and abused.
