The whole dream was very odd, but it seemed very real. I was in a house... with a kitchen that looked like the one in my apartment. I was binging, eating tons of cake and ice cream, and god knows what else, going from food to food to food. When I finished, I thought "oh my god... I couldn't have eaten all that!" Then, it was off to bed, so I had to turn out the lights in the house. I went into a room full of different lamps and wall lighting. First I hit the switch, and was ready to leave, but I noticed there was still light in the room. I walked in the room to find out which light was still on, and noticed a lamp on. I turned off the lamp and was ready to head out, yet again, and noticed more light. WTF, I got so frustrated and this time searched on the wall, and noticed lights on... they were like light up decorations, and some of them were crosses [I'm NOT religious, so it was odd]...and I turned those off. Then more lights seemed to still remain on, and I just kept trying to turn off all the lights but I couldn't, and I was getting so angry and frustrated, and finally I said, "FUCK IT." And stormed out. I ate more cake. Then in REAL LIFE I woke up, very fucking confused.
Hi Apples+Oranjes, here is a thought. It's like you are preparing to change yourself, and just used the confusion as a doorway to pass (or is it storm) through. Imagine it is all yours ... even the power to be your own contradictions. Beyond all there is change. And change comes with a smile always (and a million wrinkles). Wishing you well
To me, the lamps and lights represent different ideas, ideals, ideologies, philosophies, dogmas, religions - different belief systems. Each is vying for your attention, some that you will not be able to ignore ('can't turn off light'). You will be exposed to a whole new world of people's belief systems, some of which you really don't want to know about. The key is your frustration, though.
Both are great ideas, thanks. White feather... that's a very different idea from what I've received from other loved ones so far too, and very observant... I like that idea... I never really thought of it that way.
dreams will always frustrate you if you try to force things in them. there may be more then one reason for this. part of it might be the nomater how much your conscous may want to deny the subconscous ground of them it cannot. another might be that they actualy are in some strainge way, maybe as rube goldberg as this internet, maybe more, maybe less, connected to the rest of the universe outside of ourselves as well. both and at the same time. this is why expecting everything in them to have meanings according to some sort of standard cookbook of interpretations can often be a mistake. sometimes they are entirely symbolic of course, but i suspect, believe even, that more often they are only partialy so. sometimes your guides are responsible for these kinds of frustrations, maybe trying to tell you not to beat your head against something, usualy nature's diversity. nothing is ever all one way, and maybe by trying to turn ALL the lights completely off, you were trying to make something be all one way, as nothing in even nontangable realms ever is. =^^= .../\...
