What's your favourite song line of all time? It could be for its power, its emotion, its meaning or just its sheer hilarity....

Well I think it's really hard to pick the best one, since I love different ones that show different emotions and the like.

But I like this one becuase it amuses me:
"I may make you feel, but I can't make you think
Your sperms in the gutter, your loves in the sink"

I'm sure most people will recognize that one:D

    I always liked:
"If a double decker bus crashes into us
To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die
If a ten ton truck kills the both of us
To die by your side, well the pleasure, the privelege is mine"
    -- The Smiths

    Or:

The singer out of Slipknot went to Rome to see the Pope
And the Pope said to his aide: "Who the fuckin' 'ell are Slipknot?"

    Well let me see...

    '
I love you like a whisper
    I love you all alone
I love you like a murder babe
    I'm burying the bones
I love you like the last shot
At the bottom of the bottle
    I love you razor valentine

I love you like the dancing dust
I love you like the static
I love you like the tarmac
Loves the kiss of morning traffic
I love you like the factory smoke
Wraps it arms around the sky
    I love you razor valentine'

    ' I love you like a drunk
At the sound of closing time'

    ^Razor Valentine - Thea Gilmore

    ***********************************************

'I've been looking for something that I can't find
I've been watching it slip away over time
Trying to find the right words but they never come
And there's a song playing on the radio
I don't like it but it means more than you could ever know '

^Prelude to the end - Emma Rugg

    *************************************************

    'So please ignore
The next few lines cause they're directed at you'

^ Sitting, Wishing Waiting - Jack Johnson

    Thats it for now!

Woah Shitty Girl! A pleasant surprise to see you back on here :) Welcome home.

As for my line, for the moment I'm thinking it's:

"If I can shoot rabbits, then I can shoot fascists!"

Classic Manics line quoted from a Welsh farmer on his way to fight in the Spanish Civil War....

A few that spring to mind...

    "This is our last embrace,
Must I dream and always see your face"
    (Last Goodbye - Jeff Buckley)

"Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter-box,
They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe"
(Across The Universe - The Beatles)

    "You have to be trusted,
By the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their back on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in"
    (Dogs - Pink Floyd)

Those always stand out to me when I hear them. I like The Smiths lyric posted too.

    "i am a racing horse
    i jump the hedge
    the hedge
    i focus on the hedge
    but if i fall
    and break
a leg or two ill die
because they'll shoot me in the head and then replace me for sunrise" :D

eighties matchbox b-line disaster - palominos dream, my favourite band and song :)

    For me it's gotta be
"Well if you think I'm high you'd better think again, coz when it's sink or swim you gotta think to win" - Ice Cube

Hard question. I have so many lines that I love for different reasons. Off the top of my head though is one from the Reaching Quiet album, on the track Broken Crow.

All beautiful places are prone to natural disaster but being swallowed by the earth in Manila beats a slow death in the midwest.

I've never been to the midwest or manila but I like the sentiment behind it.

It's a pretty hard album to digest as lots of it is crazy experimental noises, strange samples and the like but there are some wicked stand out tracks.
