my favorite movie of all time, its perfect.
the acting, the soundtrack, what alex proyas did with the camera was perfect, he was able to put the viewers in this hellhole of detroit.

    Not horror

Brandon Lee's death changed the film - they reedited it, rewrote it (to eliminate certain scenes he couldn't film) and made it into a Goth story about love and loss, as opposed to the revenant revenge film it was originally envisioned as.

    uhhh sure about that one?
james obbar wrote the crow while he was going through a depressing stage of his life, mainly marked by the death of a love intrest.

i think it has a lot to do about love and loss, thats what sets it apart from other revenge flicks.

The original movie was set to be an action movie. Bullets, kicks, robot revenge film.

They focussed on the other part of the story after Lee took the Big Dirtnap.

ive watched this movie religiously, lees death didnt effect it that much, graphic novel was always focused mainly on the whole 'love and loss' aspect, and alex proyas filmed the movie holding that theme to it, and isnt the movie still an action movie? bullets? kicks? revenge? i see it all.

Yup, it's a great movie. Whether or not it's original intended story was applied makes no difference to me. I thought it was far out !

It was a decent effort. Though I was hoping for a more loyal adaptation of the GN. Specifically I wanted to see the showdown between T-Bird and thugs vs. Eric(with the whole "Jesus walks into a bar" part) and the whole Fun Boy suicide subplot,... that and Brandon Lee could have played a more convincing Draven. Other than that, pretty good offering.
