Tattoos and piercings are unnatural and ugly

I am not alone when I say that tattoos and piercings are unnatural and ugly. It is the hard truth and you kids take a tattoo or piercing because you feel uncomfortable with yourself. I can not blame you though, society only accepts beautiful and successful people and not everyone can live up to those standards.

As for myself, I am a very successful businessman on a higher management level and I still have the looks I had 20 years ago. I feel perfectly fine about myself without ruining my body with iron or ink.

and what, do you think you're going to stop us by saying that you think its unnatural? Good for you. But why the heck do people like you come into forums set for certain people and critsize what we find enjoyable and artistic?

 

I agree with Bird to a point, I dont get all these chinese symbols (unless your chinese then thats cool) or wierd designs that have no meaning. I think people get those as conversation starters so people come up to you and say "Hey what does that mean?" then you get to go into your cool hip meaning behind it.

Now I say this as a person who has a tattoo. Mine says "All Power to the People" in black bold font. Im of the opinion your body is a billboard, and anyone who sees me with no shirt or just an undershirt on will be exposed to the "All Power to the People" message. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

Tattoos and piercings are industries and art and i dont think the whole world is going to listen to one persons opinion. If thats how you feel then sweet go post it on another site where EVERYONE agrees with you. Until then i am not paying attention to you.

I think tattoos and piercings can enhance someone's beauty to a certain extent. Over tattooing and piercing is ridiculous and definitely doesn't bring out your face/body more like... turns you into a monster, but a little nose ring, earing, even a cheek ring like a beauty mark on a PRETTY face are fine. Same for tattoos... But I don't see the point of piercing areas that are not gonna be seen, though. Like I heard my ex-boyfriend got his neck pierced (which is the most immature thing he did and proved to me he was a very weak kid who DOES let others influence him, cause that is SO not his style...)... what is the point of piercing the back of your neck if you have long hair? No one's gonna see it...

i pretty much agree with you, except for the pretty face part. I must ask, why do you think that only "pretty" girls should have piercings?
Those neck piercings can be pretty hot....maybe he'll cut his hair? does he wear it up at all?

 

Bird's first post reminded me of what my old mamaw would say. You know, people have been modifying the body for countless hundreds of years, since the dawn of mankind. It wasn't until the idea of christianity came with it's puritan beliefes that it became "wrong" or "ugly". Now, to be sure, some people go too far IMO, but this is a matter of personal preference. I would say that probably something like 70% of womem have thier ears pierced, and someone told me that even Rebekah, that chick from the old testament, she was gifted a nose ring as a beauty and stature mark. Piercings and tats are cool!
