Some might begin to grow underneath the patty, but usually end up coming through to the top of it.

hmm. so i guess the cow shits on tuesday, and on tuesday and wednesday it pisses down rain, so on thursday, i head to the padock and in the shit that was shat on tuesday, there should be somethin magic happenin?

i guess the rain keeps that shit nice and moist... so i guess the shit cant be to fresh, or there isnt enough time for magic to happen?

also, do farmers scoop up the poop after a few days.

hmm, id love to see some pictures from you guys when you go and find the shrooms in the dung, kinda gives me an idea what im dealin with.

just give em a quick rinse then, huh. haha i guess soaking and rubbin is detrimental to the psilosybin(sp)

Alot of paneolus and psilocybe strains are normally found on dung. Some cool weather, wood loving fungi like Psilocybe Azurescens can be found in conifer forests. If you don't know a ton about shrooms yet, you're probably safer picking off dung. Alot of nasties, that to the untrained eye, look like psilocybes also grow in the forest. Even better than snooping around someoned else's private property is growing them yourself. SWIM says it's a great hobby, alot of fun, and easy to do.
