I'm thinking about knitting...something...up with a few balls of brown cotton I just got. What are ya'll's experiences with it? Yaye? Naye? Etc?

I think it's kinda hard with the tension... Because it's like.. once you've made a stitch... it's gonna stay that way. I think mostly its because it doesn't really stretch...

dishcloths. I make them by the dozen.

However, I imagine dishcloths are far too bland for someone like yourself to be knitting, Kryz... :D

Whatever you do wind up making, try to make the stitches tight.

    Maybe...smaller needles?

I need to make some dish towels.

Dishcloths? :D Do Canadians say dishcloths instead of dish towels? Or wash towels instead of washcloths? :D

    Ahaha.. :D

The things you wash dishes with.. Dishcloths. The things you dry them with, those are tea towels (in my family anyhow?)

Washcloths are like.. thing things you wash your face with. Facecloth/Washcloth.

I've never heard of a dish towel.

    We all clear?

Love cotton. I've knit a hat of cotton, and even though it doesn't stretch as much as my wool yarns, it was still quite warm to wear!

tea towels are dish towels. I believe that "tea towel" is UK English now used as Canadian English. Much like "chesterfield" (couch or sofa) and "serviette" (napkin)...

Cotton yarn... I like it. Used it to make some poop collectors for my son's cloth diapers. It washes well.
