It was a pretty great book. What I really liked was the descriptions it gave about their live performances. They would give every detail so you could really picture it...I loved putting the song being described on really really loud and reading it while it happened, so I could almost see it...Very deep...

    Nice pictures too:)

When I read it when I was in my teens, it made me think that Morrison was a daring rebel pushing the boundaries of both society and reality.

When I re-read it when I was 30+, it made me think that Morrison was foolishly self-destructive and unnecessarily abrasive and cruel to those who cared about him.

Oh well i guess it depends on how u are and the way u think about things - that would make up ur opinon on someone like Jim, I suppose. Can't really explain what i mean! But yea, in the book i read by Ray Manzarek ~Light my fire~ he talked alot of good things about Jim, and even though sometimes Jim's...well maybe not nessarly 'bad' side but maybe a more negitive side is more talked about. but Ray said Jim was a very sensitive, shy, witty and charming guy. but i guess it was jus the alchohol, i dont know! well but yea..im almost half way through now!
