I worked 60 hours last week. I'll have 80-85 hours this week. Next week I'm shooting for the trifecta at 100 hours.

No, that is not a typo. I said 100 hours worked out of 168 total hours in a week.

What's the most you've ever worked in a week?

I do not even work that much in a year, let alone a week.
Are you nuts or deeply in debt?

Deeply in debt, unfortunately. I try to avoid work like the plague, but I have to pay off $550 to my probation officer by a week from Friday or risk spending a few weeks in jail.

Eek, that sucks ass. I've never worked that much. I did used to regularly work 30 hours on top of a full coarseload while living on my own and having to use public trans to get around (assume it takes twice as long to get anywhere, at least)... but that was by choice.

It will suck really bad. If I survive one week at 100 hours I'm going to do it for a second week. Then I'm taking a couple days off. If I can pull off two, 100 hour pay checks, I can not only pay off my probation but I could probably afford to move to Seattle by the end of the month too. That'd be a dream come true.

That is truly insane. What is your hourly wage and how much tax do you have to pay?

$9.00/hr and after all taxes, benefits, and retirement fund fees, I lose 23% of my check.

Yeah well, this is what I get for being a college drop out and not comforming to their standards and paying out the money they feel they are due for "proper education".

    Dicks.

I am a drop out myself, but getting an okayish paid job (around $15 an hour) is no problem here. I guess we are blessed with a healthy economy in the good old Netherlands.

Man..... if I could line up a sales job there, I'd probably use my 100 hour check to make it happen

Oh well, guess I'll just keep putting in 100 hours for the time being.

Is it even allowed to work 100 hours?
I am pretty sure you are not allowed to do that over here.

Legally you're allowed to work as much as your willing to work. If your company allows of course. Mine usually is very strict about nobody going over 40. They can't force you to do something like that though. They said I could work as many hours as I want the next couple of weeks, so I'm going to make them eat their words. They'll regret it when I get a check bigger than theirs.

I wish you all the strength and luck you need. I guess it is a necessity for you to raise the money to stay out of jail. Otherwise I would advise you to work less and such.

Yeah, my whole family and most of my coworkers are really worried about this decision. I mean I've worked 2 jobs before, but the most hours I've worked in a week have been 80. Something tells me the extra 20 hours isn't as simple as it seems.

After I make the money to pay everything off though, I'm going to sleep for an entire day.

When I had two fulltime and one part time job at once I worked 17 hours perday, seven days a week. That comes out to lets see. . . . 119 hours per week. Granted that was only for a month, then I got rid of the part time job.
