Day time TV dramas make me sick

Yeah I don't like them so I just don't watch them.

I'm not watching it, per se. It's just playing in the background. I'd turn it off, but then i'd have to get up :/

 

well it appears that you have 2 choices here: remove your ass from said seat and change the damn tv channel, or continue to suffer. I think it's an easy choice...

I like the judge shows now and then.

 

I just saw a rather disturbing episode of Dr. Phill. Showed footage of a mother beating her children, and one kid screaming "Please mommy stop it hurts it hurts" and then she tried to kick him out of the house, this ten year old kid, and he couldn't walk because his mum busted his knee, so she starts screaming at him and beating him some more.

 

Boy am I glad I work during the days...no need for tv then! Haha.

 

whoa i saw this one the other day too. They even had a whippin' stick. That mom was a biotch.

 

It's not the TV shows that are so bad it's the commercials, as If the only reason you're home watching TV is your unemployed, or uneducated (and need to apply to a trade school) or you've been in a serious accident and need the local ambulance chaser (i.e. attorney)

one of my great good fortunes in life, even if having to live with anyone is one of my greatest misfortunes, is not having to live with anyone who insists on watching them (or anything on the damd idiot box at all).

But occasionally there are shows on I just can't miss like Nova on PBS, The Croc Hunter on Animal Planet, Dinosaurs on the Discovery Channel, or the daily news on CNN or FOX.

i have learned so much from television being a visual learner i learn more from seeing things in the productive way they show in some programs, than from the fucked up way they teach it at school...aww well thats my 2 cents on tv...
and on another note, tv is good for tuning out too, i love watching passions cause its just so ridiculous and stupid it makes me laugh

You ever notice with soap operas how there's always some person who gets killed off, then comes back a few months later?
They also like to put some character in the hospital with third degree burns, and when the bandages come off, they've had reconstructive surgery and are being played by another actor.
Like someone who is that badly burned would come out of it looking really good, only different. Their children seem to go from being an infant to being 12 years old in the matter of about six months, too.
Another thing they like to do is put some "wicked woman" in a room staring into a crystal ball or looking out the window and saying something like, "If Brooke thinks she can have Aiden, she is unerestimating my power. You will not succeed this time, Brooke."
I mean, who the hell is this bitch talking to anyway?
Yeah, I hate soaps. My mom used to watch them.

 

Or how..on stupid soaps , a woman can be in labor,,but her hair and her makeup are perfect..and its a romantic time between she and the father !!???.....HAH !!......it wasnt like that when I had mine !!!

 

Lately American soaps have had this really bad obsession with incest. Cousins marrying cousins...stuff that's weird enough to make you make a face, but not so weird that you might be concerned the next tragedy will be their horribly disfigured child.
