I may be able to score some mescaline in the near future and wanted to know what it's like. Has anyone here tried it?
first off you are really lucky. you can go read the most (arguably) famous trip report about mescaline, Doors Of Perception, here - http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/writings/huxley_doors.shtml i havent tried it though.
i always wonder why the people lucky enough to get these things know very little about them. not saying i know much.
I do know quite a bit about mecaline.. I just wanted to hear first-hand trip accounts from hipforums members..

Not sure.. a friend of mine found a hook-up for the stuff but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.. mescaline is rare so it'll probably leave a sizeable hole in my wallet. Should be worth it though.
It's mescaline! It's a dreamy psychedelic trance! It's the longest lasting psychedelic I've ever done. 3 days after ingesting the dose, things were still moving around. To me, it was very spiritual, and a lot of fun (especially if you harvest it yourself!)
I only know one person who has had a true mescaline experience. What he said was much like Stalk above, long lasting, very dreamy and heavily spritiual, visual, he said it was quite an experience. I know a few people who have had 'mescaline' on thick cardboardesque blotter papers with a ridiculously visual trip lasting a good couple hours. Me and my mind laugh at them, my mouth just says 'yea dude... that's cool'
ethanolic sanpedro powder extract acidified w/citric acid & cooked down & chilled yielded a nice pile of mescaline citrate crystals... (a few grams from a QP) now ... for the ideal set & setting, eh?
I would describe it as a very floaty and "meaningful" trip. Very long too... but very pleasent. The only thing i found unpleasent was the stomach discomfort, but that was only during the come-up

The trip does last an extremely long time, so the faint of heart probably shouldn't do it. (Or the crazies, lol!). Although, its not like acid, I don't really think. Sometimes acid can be a little intense, like jaw-clenching, shoulders-hunched, back-aching ouchness. This was a VERY pleasant trip, really fun... I spent my trip running around in the woods, and splashing in creeks and stuff. Laughing my ass off... after it was all over my abs hurt so much, from giggling so damn much. I highly recommend it. Be careful though, and have a happy trip!
yea acid does give you that back acheness and jaw-clenching sometimes. what a long strange trip u will have brother. have fun!!
...Always the cynic. Although I do agree that in this day and age you do run that risk. It wouldn't be the first time that someone's been sold "synthetic mescaline. A good dose of mesc sulfate or citrate should be between about 300 and 400 mg, so make sure you get that much in your cap or bag or whatever. Congrats though. If it's thereal deal, that could be a great score!
mescaline is so impractical to come across, unless you know a guy (like I do) who has mad amounts of San Pedro, and makes his own brew. Personally, I'd extract (because that's my forte), and there are ways to make it via Vanillin, but it's a two-synth, 15-step process with mediocre yields; though quite do-able, it's not the most economical/practical venture.
Mescaline is by far the best trip you can take. Don't get me wrong, I love LSD...but a good strong dose of mescaline feels better than extasy and gives all the mind expansion of good LSD...very smooth trip, and long lasting, the peak just goes on and on....
