So I searched my room for seeds and found a few. Planted them in a box up in my closet, and I'm worried about the parents finding them. My mom comes up once a week and puts some clothes in there. They're on a shelf thats above eye level, so my mom will just see a box thats been sitting up there since we moved into this house. But I'm worried about what to do when they get big. 6" and they'll be visible. How can I hide them? Also, will the smell from two or three plants be noticeble?
So the plants are in a box above eye level, but they'll eventually grow out of it? I'm a bit confused here now, you say they'll be visible after 6 inches, implying that there isn't a lid to this box you speak of, am I right? Does the cupboard the box is in even host lights for the plants and if so what lighting do you use? Hiding them is something you should've thought about before even starting to grow. The smell the plants will emit will depend on the size of the plants and the strains. Some plants create a powerful stench that can be smelt from the other side of the house whereas others won't smell nearly as much. The smell shouldn't be too big of a problem during vegetative growth compared to flowering during which the smell WILL increase to noticable levels. If you have no ventilation or other ways of getting rid of the terrific odour in the cupboard, then I guess you're screwed. Just imagine 2-3 plants being inside of a cupboard for days and then your mother opening it, wow, YOU'RE BUSTED! haha Aside from that you'll have to deal with other problems, such as plant height, light leaks et cetera.
How do you have lighting? You need lighting. They wont grow just sitting their in a box. Also how are they going to get big when theyre obviously high up, theyre going to hit the ceiling. Your mom will notice the smell in the closet if she opens it.
