"Just a Couple of Days" by Tony Vigorito. I'm re-reading it right now. I met this cat at a Rainbow Gathering 5 years ago and traded him for it, and he just recently finally got picked up by a big publisher. Seriously good shit, awesomely good book. I highly recommend it. Only catch is, there's pretty much zero chance of finding it used, or in a library. But it's totally worth buying, I promise! I would say it's about the end of the world, but it's really not. More like the end of civilisation as we know it, and think of it now. It raises some interesting questions like "Why aren't apples called reds?" and "Are all mushrooms really just alien lifeforms sent here to gather information and spy on us?" Seriously, read it!
I ordered it a while back, and I thought it was worth the money. His style is very, very, similar to Tom Robbins.
erm, I think you can buy it on Amazon for ~ 13$ or so... You might be able to go to the author's website and buy directly from him through email as well. (justacoupleofdays.com)... He just recently go tpicked up by a big publisher, so it's currently out of print and will be redone in a new format next year. So if you get one of these old ones while they're still around, it'll become a "collectors edition"...
