    well i just woke up!

he was supposed to be killed by a croc, not a stingray :(

it's kind of weird to be upset by this because the guy (even though an expert) pretty much had it coming, and you had to love to hate him for this

but yeah, 2 kids, 8 and 2, and he was filming this (also for a doc.) as a segment to be hosted by his 8 year old

    jesus :(

    "had it coming"

it was actually a freak accident, stingrays don't normally kill people it was only because it was a direct hit to his heart (causing a literal hole in his heart) that he died

Alot of people in my family call my dad the crocodile hunter, cuz he reminds them of Steve Irwin.

One time he ran off the road and chased a bunch of deer across this field in my grandparents' GMC Safari when I was about three years old... my aunt, grandparents, a cousin, my mom, and myself were in the van when it occured.

And... there was another incident involving a Copperhead and a bag of seed corn, when we lived on our farm.

The guy did a lot for protecting the wild animals of his area of the world. Did tons of volunteer work for kids with handicaps and the poor too. Had two kids and a wife that he left behind.
It was a freak accident and no he did not had it coming!!

It was an occupational risk. He took risks for a living, and I imagine that's how he'd want to go... not that he was wanting to die right now, but better that than dying alone in a nursing home at 97. Sometimes it's the quality of life, not the quantity.

    I miss him.
His energy was amazing. It would get me pepped up to go out and conquer the world.
At least you could say he died doing what he loved.

Though, how much you want to bet, they will release the documentary anyways? Now THAT would be cold-hearted.
