Happy birthday to my son. Skye is 1 year old today, and walking around like a madman. My family and my wifes family all came to my place Sunday to celebrate. It was fun. My wifes grandma ate a piece of Skye's birthday desert, during diner, when no one was looking. Kinda funny. I went to put his candle on it and was like "Hey, there's a piece missing". Anyhow I gave him speghetti for his birthday dinner. It was messy. Luckily, I had enough insight to cover a rather large area of the dinning room with a drop cloth. He had my special apple crisp for his desert. He loved it. Then he got to open all of his presents. Good score. Then we got to my favorite part of any family get together. The time when everyone leaves. It was fun, but it's always nice when evryone goes and we can set back and enjoy the rest of the day. Overall it wasn't to bad. I spent most of my day in the kitchen cooking, skye got to play with his cousins and uncles. My wife got to hangout with the family. Worked out good. Anyhow, back to the original subject. Happy Birthday Skye!
Happy birthday Skye! Today's my birthday too! And to be honest, this is the first good thing about it (I hate my birthday, it's my least favorite day of the year and the weeks around it are becoming like a black hole for me...) Wasn't last 9/5 a Labor day? I was a Labor Day baby also! My parents always thought it was pretty appropriate timing...
