Yup, now that all the students are back in school, we just broke our record for the # of ppl online at the same time today. We easily surpassed the 700 mark (we count the # of ppl logged in, and presumably still online, in the last 30 minutes). The breakdown was roughly 150+ members and 550+ guests. There were few if any spiders online at the time we broke the record, so it's valid! I'm happy that the site is still growing, despite all the competition from the likes of myspace. But I'm even more pleased that our server now seems to be taking all this increasing traffic in stride. We've had so many problems over the past couple of years keeping the server up whenever it got stressed (nearly every day). I recently reprogrammed this site (shut down the main search function, and recoded the SQL commands not to store all that search data), and also a recent upgrade of the gallery software both seem to have worked together to smooth out the rough edges on the server. We still have problems with the server hesitating, but these are less frequent and less severe. In fact our server has been running nearly perfect for the last 2 weeks, without restarting any of its software. That is amazing, and I can't remember the last time I could make that statement! So I'm glad we can enjoy all the newbies, and not worry about the server overloading. Thanks to everyone for staying on the site, and recommending it to your friends. Peace!

I just got the stats in for the last 24 hours, and we broke all the records! 18,400+ unique visitors, 23,000+ visits, 549,000 files were served and 190,000 pages viewed using 4.9 Gig bandwidth (all for ONE day, part of it a holiday in the USA). I likes dem apples!
Yeah dude FUCK MYSPACE!!! I hate myspace and I will never allow a picture or any information about myself to be placed on myspace. I look at other peoples myspaces and if I see a mention of my name or a picture with me in it I threaten them with deadly weapons until they remove it.
