    Dear El rolo,
I am from Spain and live in Spain and I have never heard or seen this word. But the 'Diccionario de La Lengua Española' of 'La Real Academia Española' says that 'pasar el rolo' is an idiom from Puerto Rico that means 'to disapprove'.
I hope to have helped you a little

that song you said "te estoy pasando el rolo" is a guy singing to another guy. He is saying like "i am much ahead of you" "i am better than you" they are like in a competition of who sells more records (i know cuz the song is by a puertorrican artist and i am puertorrican)

I have never heard that term but then it's like in in-glish or Hip-glish terms like: "im hip", "yeah, I m cool" "Like wow!!", "Dig this".

By the way, I don't think anyone in Spain or Puerto Rico would go around saying "yo soy cadera" (I'm hip) or "entierra esto"(dig this) it just wouldn't sound cool. "no suena frio" (!!!)
