How old is your babe? I know you said you tried all methods, can you please expand on which carriers you've tried?

age can be a factor,my son was resistant to wearablity at first. he likes to be upright and I found he liked a snuggli carrier better than the beautiful sling I had purchased. once he could sit up in the sling he was cool with it. If your baby won't go for wearing will she go for being in a car seat type carrier or high chair nearby while you do stuff?

my baby is 9 months. i've tried the maya wrap the snuggli, the big long sheet of fabric, i can't remember what it's called now. she gets this blank, feral, glassy eyed panic when her legs are at all constricted. i have to say, i sympathize, it freaks me out, too. i tried to get her used to them, but i ended up with a screaming baby tied to my chest for hours at a time. she's never so muched as napped without me holding her, but now she's getting really heavy. she likes to get down and crawl around and play, but if i have to move from one room to another, she completely flips out. i blame her first days in the hospital when she had to sleep so pitiful and alone under the uv lamp. i couldn't even breast feed her. she's way more anxious than my first daughter ever was. i have to get something done, though.

stuff that gets the doc sent to jail in Colorado. Good luck finding someone to do it. A juvenile patient died here several years ago.

    how about a backpack?
free legs, she can see everything (and pull your hair and kick your kidneys, be warned.)
    my son loved it.

oh, hell. i take baths with my baby all the time. she loves it. it calms us both down. i think i'm just going to have to move things through my house in stages, and bring her with me at each point, so that she can keep me in sight at all times but still crawl around and play like she wants to.
