All you have to do is get aziplock baggy and pour a lil table salt in it...

throw your glass piece in it...

pour enough rubbing alcohol into the baggy to cover the bowl sufficiently ...

then just shake it up a bunch

you will want to wash it off after you take it out

i learned this from an old pro and you will be impressed!!! Oh and dont even worry about any interference with smoking afterwords...its an all natural cleaner....

and please please do this every few times you smoke out of it...
you will notice your piece operates at its peak this way!!!

Let me know how magnificent your bowls look now!!! Mine is soooo clean.

I personally like a piece with a lot of resin in it, and I don't think I've never had one SO packed with it to interfere with it's function. A bit more flavor that way ;)

Although I guess a clean piece does look nice.

    but for a bong.

i think that the bowl should be keep resinated or at least the bowl area, the stem can be cleaned if you want.

but as for the bong itself, i think it should be cleaned as often as possible.

that seems like a ridiclous amount of work to clean a piece... all i do is put the plug in my drain and fill the sink up with fairly hot water (just make sure its not too cold in your house, and the water isn't too hot because it does have the possibilty to crack) and just dunk it in the water, swash it around a little, if the resin doesnt come right off, it becomes really soft and you just have to knock it off,...

The salt acts as an abrasive as it doesn't dissolve into vinegar; so it's takes off just about anything without having to scrape.

Personally, I'd prefer that my pieces stay unclean as it takes time for the colour to build back up (I have 3 colour-changers and one acrylic piece)

you don't even have to scrape with hot water, atleast my piece, just give it a little rub with your finger and it dislodges right off.

I always warm my pice with warm water and then scrape the resin, roll it into a ball and smoke it. What a great high!
