Drugs are good, but Music is better!

I agree that sparkin up a doobie every now and then is quite relaxing, it's much better then working and it helps me concentrate better when playing The Simpsons Hit and Run or makes watching comedy TV so much better. Music on the other hand takes me to a different universe, the kind where nothing else really matters and all around you is standing out more then it ever did, especially when playing the guitar and writing your own words. When I turn the stereo on turn up the volume so nothing is coming through my mind except the beat, I feel like jumping on my bed and ripping off my pants and dancing around in my underware. Of course I get so excited that I do and then I run outside because I feel so free but when I get further down the street to where I can't hear the music anymore, I stop and realize what it is I am doing. Now that's good music.

In fact, music is a drug on itself. It's very addicting, just not unhealthy even in huge doses. When I listen to the right music, I feel totally detached from this world and this time. It's so glorious, so... argh, I can't even explain it clearly.

I think you hit it right in the bullseye there, I just feel detatched from the world and all of it's violence and hate. Music feels the soul and the drugs just soothe me.
