Hello. Does everybody here get Logo on cable? If so, you need to request it from your cable company, and don't let them get away it. Anyway, I love the channel, and the movies they show. Also, I found lots of great music groups there, including Panic! at the Disco (before they were mainstream popular). Anyway, does anybody have opinions about Logo? Too stereotypical? Not inclusive enough?

Chris remember people post from different countries so we're not all going to have heard about this, and to stop this from sounding like your trying to promote logo (which would make this spam) please try and relate it to the themes of the forum, I.E what would gay people get out of it

I dont get it but i watched it at an aunts house who gets it and the program doesnt vary enough, that Noah's Ark show is so annoying because the main character is so stereotypical that its annoying..every once in a while they play a good movie but thats few and far between

Yeah, Noah's Ark sucks and is very stereotypical... As far as promotion... lol I am simply saying that cable companies in conservative areas are not picking up the station here, and they are getting away with censoring people. We need to request it. It is the first REAL gay, lesbian, and bi channel in the USA - a colaborative between MTV, CBS, and FOX. Even though it has its flaws with the shows it has developed, like Noah's Ark (more geared toward African American gays), are not exactly positive, it is a huge step in the right direction. I like the movies they show, as they are what we have so far in movies within our culture. The fact is that we haven't yet made many movies that truely show glb people as a "norm." So, we are going to see lots of themes that revolve around stereotypes and the things people perceive as different about us - sexual characteristics, fashion sense, money, etc. Yes, we really need to move beyond the stereotypes, but we are still a "second-class" community in the USA without universal rights. So, Logo is a huge step in the right direction which should be supported.

That is because they arn't....its a cable station by Viacom (The owner of MTV)which also owns Showtime, speaking of which queer as folk is coming to that tv station, but they are probably going to censor it so it will suck since the sex scenes are crucial to the story...thats another reason I hate logo they censor everything

You are right about being conservative. Logo goes out of their way to censor bad language and other things that might be perceived as negative.

but can you imagine queer as folk being censored? They could hardly even put the scenes from babylon in there! the story wont make sense.
