Israelis receive organs of slain Palestinian boy

In a gesture they hope will foster peace, the parents of a young Palestinian boy killed by Israeli soldiers have donated his organs for transplants in Israel. Ahmed Khatib, 12, was shot by Israeli soldiers last Thursday, during a military raid in Jenin. Like so many children across the West Bank, Khatib was playing with a toy gun when Israeli soldiers were hunting militants. Mistaking his toy for a real gun, they shot him in the head and chest.(I think there was a similar incident before)

He died of his wounds in an Israeli hospital on Saturday. Ahmed's mother says the decision to donate her son's organs was made Sunday as a tribute to his brother, who died at 24 while waiting for a liver transplant. But the desire to help others -- regardless of nationality or political beliefs -- is also directed at sustaining Ahmed's spirit. "We made the decision to show we want peace -- even if they're Jewish," she said in Arabic. "This way I feel he is still alive." A chronic shortage of donor organs in Israel is typically explained by Jewish religious taboos against the practice. The same day the decision was made, three Israeli girls -- two Jewish and the other a member of Israel's Bedouin Arab minority -- underwent surgery to receive his lungs, heart and liver. The mother of a 12-year-old girl who had waited five years for a transplant is overjoyed that Ahmed's heart now beats in her daughter's chest. "Today Samah started a new life," Samah Gadban's mother told CTV News. "What they did was a brave step, I hope God will protect them from any other sorrow." (Amen to that, thank you )The rare story of goodwill has already captured the hearts and imaginations of many Palestinians and Israelis. Khatib's family is also expected to meet with the families of those who have received the boy's organs, and there are invitations to meet with the president. Rather than being forgotten as just another boy in another grave, his family's gesture of tolerance and goodwill has given Ahmed Khatib a legacy. While other children received kidneys, lungs and a liver, he has gained an identity.

more you read this kind of related news.. more hatred is born inside ur heart... same about people in NOrth America about terror acts. live ur life, pray to allah, make good things . put jihad away.

Jihad is a big issue but in few words my dear it is :
Quraan: And fight in the Way of Allah those who fight you, but transgress not the limits. Truly, Allah likes not the transgressors.
Quraan: O you who believe! when you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, then turn not your backs to them

In other words, do not turn your other cheek, but of course Not any Muslim can call for Jihad and for any incident! There must be a Fatwa from an Authorized Mufti.

Jihad has other meanings, maybe I should post a new thread about Jihad
NB: Those who are killing innocent ppl in the name of Islam and Jihad, it is a mere claim , such acts have nothing to do with Jihad.

back to the point- IT is a good thing to use soemthing that is already lost to GIVE LIFE... doesnt matter if it is muslim to chirstian or otehrwise.
