Does anyone know of any proven, natural remedies for conjunctivitis/pink eye? I've read about the combination of Eyebright, Goldenseal, and Raspberry leaf being a good one but haven't tried it nor do I know the mixing dosage. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanx!
you can make yourself a compress to use those herbs. use a clean cloth or gauze, cotton balls...whatever you have, soaked in a solution and then place it over your eyes. to make a compress, use 5 drops of tincture in 1/4 cup water or steep 1 tsp herb in 1 cup hot water 5-10 mins and strain. soak cloth or cotton balls, etc in solution and place on eyes for 10 minutes, three to four times a day. eyebright helps fight infection and dries up excess fluid chamomile and fennel seed help fight infection marigold soothes irritation you can use the above herbs alone or in a combo. you can make an eyewash using 10 drops of goldenseal tincture with 1 tsp boric acid in 1 cup of water. adminster with a dropper or an eye cup. homeopathically, you can do the following: Euprhasia - if you have a lot of watery tears that burn your face, yet your eyes feel super dry Pulsatilla - if you have greenish yellow discharge and itchy eyes Belladonna - first onset of pink eye Sulphur - if you have a burning pain with yellow discharge
if that doesn't work put a drop of colloidal silver in both eyes i've done this to get rid of a mild case of conjunctivitis.
I ya got it...Breastmilk. It is utterly (pun not intented) amazing. Put in a few drops before you go to bed and wake up with clear healthy eyes.
I heard once of a my friends babysitter (an old German lady) putting a wet diaper (pee) on the kids eye. Said thats the way she used to treat her kids pinkeye. I dont know if it works tho
My grandma used to rub real gold lagainst th ecorner of my eye and it always went away. Mayve gone away naturally too though, hard to say. Like a real gold ring, something with a fairly thick band so that it actually hits the affected area.s
This is completly correct!! Another good idea is to get your pharmacist to make up some saline solution for you, this works well too, although there are other waus which can be more effective.
breastmilk really works best, better than the prescription abx ointments. A used teabag will help draw the poison out, too. Make yourself a nice cup of hot tea, after the teabag is cool enough to touch but still quite warm, place it over the affected eye until it's room temperature.
