ok ive taken a break from smoking for a while and im starting up again, ive never smoked out of a bong(i know i know its hard to believe) so i decided i would make 1, and i have a feq questions 1. im using a empty pen as the tube, should the end of the tube thats in the soda bottle be sumerged under water? if so how much? 2.my bowl is just one of thoser racket sockets connected to the end of the pen, there is no sorta filter between then pen and the bottom of the socket, wen i inhale wont my weed just go down the tube and into the water? if i needed a filter or screen how can i make 1, 3.wen i inhale should bubbles start coming up in the bottle? or no?
1. around an inch (more or less) 2. just use a piece of foil and poke holes or get a metal screen from somewhere such as a fossit, screen room, or something else with a metal screen, foil works just as good tho 3. by bubbles i hope you mean the water bubbling and not actualy bubbles flying out of the water, but ya it should bubble
ya water bubbling, it just seems weird that bubbles would appear wen u inhale? they usually come up wen u exhale but o well, thx for the advice ima try to make a new one tommorow
1. Ive always found the deeper the tube is under water the better suction and cooling. Most of the ones ive really liked to use are almost at the bottom of the water. I usually have 2 inches of water if I make one out of a 20 oz soda bottle. 2. Just use foil, a coupel times using it you arent going to get a brain tumor or somthing. Dont make a habit of it if you can though. 3. Bubbles wont come up, but, when you inhale the air thats coming through will make the water bubble. They arent going to float up into the bong. Theyll just stay at water level.
ah ok, thx mushie as for screens, luck would have it that my house has no screens and neither do my faucets..sigh so i am gunna have to use foil, but does like ace hardware sell like little sections of screens? or something like that? or do u have to buy like a whole fuking screen door thing
I find the best screens are the faucet ones, they work perfect. You can get some at a hardware store for sure, it's a pretty common household item. It's not the same thing as window screen, don't use those, lol.
If you were to get a screen at the hard ware store dont get aluminum, it will put off toxins just like tinfoil which youre obviously trying to get away from. Right now mozilla is being stupid, check out some head shops online and see what type of screens they sell, get the same material. You will know its not harmfull
ok i really dont see why poeple are always trying to find new downpipes for their bongs out of all these bad materials, waht was ever wrog with using garden hose? here is my failproof method to make the perfect simple bong. get a bottle. get a piece of hose 4+inches long. get a lgihter. hold the lighte flame near the plastic bottle, but not on it, at a point about half way in teh bottle. a little white patch should appear, and then quickyl grow into a hole. when teh hole is smaller than the diametre of the hose, quickly very quickly shove the hose in the hole, pushing it through (it might be hard at first, but keep pushing). push it through to teh bototm of the bottle. opposite the hose on teh bottle, and half way up from tehre to the mouthpiece, make anotehr hole teh same way, only this time have it a few mm wide. you now have the perfect, simple bong, which is guaranteed to be airtight. as for a conepiece, BUY ONE trust me, they are worth the effort of buying. they are so important. almsot every stoner aruond ehre has a conepiece that they carry around.
^^ good suggestion u can buy downpipes as well which screw onto the cone. Mabey u could do that but make the hole at the top keep the lid on and suck the smoke through the hose would look classy at a party.
