Well he did say back in the 60's that if he ever sold out, it'd 1st be for women's lingerie, and 40 years later he kept good on that promise.

Personally, I don't see the big fuss over his doing commercials. Everyone always thinks he sold out because everyone thinks he was standing for something way back when.

Who knows? Maybe he's just doing it for a laugh and he's pickin up some change along with it.. God knows he doesn't need it. The man craves attention, just let him get it how he wants.

Yeah, and I don't really think doing commercials is "selling out." But I don't really believe in selling out. If I ever become famous, I'm going to BECOME FAMOUS, not just be like, "O, I have a chance to gain more fans, and have more money, and become more famous, but no, I'm not gonna do it because of credibility."
Call me shallow, but I wouldn't work hard for years, to get people to know me, but then once it happens, shun all attention.

what was even better & i'm still stoked bout it, was i saw him back in '04! in SB!
the shitty thing was his voice is more gravely, almost to the point of barely comprehending it but i was still in aww, screamin' & dancing and singing...not that bob was every extremely understandable, but he was really mushmouth
