Ok. I just started out a new year in school and stuff. My science teacher had us make posters about oursevles to hang on the wall. Being a vegitarian is a big part of my life so I wrote that on there. After that, all I got from him was shit on how meat is good for you and stuff. Then he was making his lunch before he went to lunch and was talking about what he was having (left over steak). Then he took it out of the microwave and like...held it near my face and said "look good don't it?" I was trying not to throw up on his food.

He's being a complete asshole. I dunno what to do about it.
    Suggestions?

    Wow what a prick!
I think there was another thread here somewhere, where another poster was having a similar problem.
I'll try to dig it out for you.

Well I can't find it, hopefully someone else will be able to help you...

*Sigh*... why do so many omnis find it necessary to dangle the rotting corpse they're about to eat in front of veghead's faces as though it was a wonderfully funny & enlightening thing to do?! He's totally in the wrong and you should report his ass. He has no right harrassing you that way. He should give you nothing but respect if he expects to be respected by you. I wish you had thrown up on his lunch... maybe then he would've have gotten a clue.

im not a confrontational person, but if someone thrust meat in my face knowing im veg i would most likely knock it out of there hands haha. it would just be a knee jerk reaction, you know.

you being veg may make him uncomfortable. he may be feeling guilty or weak, but cant deal with that and say something admirable. or he could just be a prick.

but yea go to the administration, vegeterianism is a lifestyle choice, simialair to your religion or appearance, and he has no right to voice his opposition to your lifestyle in school.

I find that sneezing when something like that occurs stops it.

Seriously, report him to the principal, prefereably with a clear, precise letter, with vegetarian spelled CORRECTLY, and carbon copied to the superintendent's office.
it is harrasment. If you were an allergy kid, he could not get away with that.

Well .... I am a confrontational person, and if somebody waved meat in my face for the specific purpose of taunting or heckling me, my first reaction would be to grab their arm with my opposing hand, and my second reaction would be to gracefully place my other hand's knuckles into the side of their skull.

    But that's just me ...

Just be sure not to give him a reaction because that is probably what he wants. Report this like the others said and keep copies of all letters or whatnot that you write in case you need them for future reference. Did you tell your parents? What did they say?

there are jerks and you are bound to run into them time and time again....however, you should report him because he is a teacher and he should not be treating his students/kids this way. If he treats you with this kind of disrepects and childish antics you can bet he will do it to another students at some point. See if you can't stop the cycle. Don't take any shit man!

this isnt some school bully here though, this is a teacher. they are expected to act like adults, not childish, and you should have reported him, or tell your parents. i am a shy person, i probably would not have reported him either if i was in your shoes, but i would regret not doing it!
