Yeah, that's Silvadene cream and it's what is used in hospitals for burns.

My dd had a glob of hot glue land on her bare leg once and I used Silvadene twice a day til it healed. I put a non stick dressing over it and wrapped gauze around that to keep dirt out while she was playing.

Find an aloe plant and cut the top of one of the leafs and rub the gooey substance that comes out onto the burn, It works awesomely. This is an aloe plant if didn't know:[IMG]

Also keep her in loose clothing like a dress, nothing with a waistband that will rub the burn.

Wow- that's a pretty bad burn! Well, I'm not sure this would help so much NOW or even with a large burn like that but I am really clumsy and seem to burn myself a lot with either hot soups, oil or even on burners. For the smaller burns it has REALLY helped me to take a cotton ball (and do this right away) and dip it in some milk and then bandage it to the burn. I think it helps with scarring but it DEFIANTLY helps with pain.

it looks like it's healing. Silver is one of teh few mainstream treatments I trust.
Aloe is not up to this one!

The first couple of days i put the silver cream over the burn real thick and then i kept putting cool washclothes over the area,,,this seemed to relieve the pain, ,,,i dont have to do the cool washclothes anymore, i am still keeping the silver cream on the area, at the moment the skin is peeeling from some of the areas, and itching,it doesnt hurt like it did,,it is healing. I am soo thankful it is healing!!

it was a bowl of hot soup, a individual serving, i fixed her a bowl and told her it needed to cool off, bout the time i was saying it, she was reaching for it and pulled her hand back, and the soup spilled over, and she is doing better, it is healing,,thank you all,,peace & love.

    silver is good!

    essential oil of lavender externally

omega 3 fatty acids, vite c, antioxidants, plus the regular vites and minerals internally. lots of good clean water to drink.

ooh that looks painful, glad its healing now though! Just for future reference if you burn yourself run the burn under cold water as soon as possible for as long as you can, preferably for about ten minutes because it helps to stop the cooking action of the skin and will reduce the severity of the burn. :)

i use aloe but the best thing i've found is Neosporin. i burned the palm of my hand pretty bad on a frying pan a couple of weeks ago and it healed it in about 3 days. it really works great. You can get a tube at the supermarket.

i'd follow the doctors recommendation though.
