DXM Trouble Last Night

Last night two friends and I decided to have a mini road trip while on DXM. I had around 500-600mg, while my friends had about 300-400mg. Anyways, my one friend, who took triple Cs, atleast ten 30mg capsules, went home at 12. At 1am his mom calls me and says he's in the ER because whatever he took reacted with his strong medicine for his bipolar condition. I told her what we did, I wasn't too sure just how many triple Cs, but at the most he took 450mg. After I told her she said that she was going to kick my ass and all this. Now, here's my predicament, I don't know if he actually did go to the ER or not. I know his mom is schizo and bipolar so I'm not sure if she just made the ER thing up so I'd tell her or not. Anyways, this was last night and I'm still very paranoid; does anyone know of any meds that mixed with triple Cs cause you to OD or something?

 

Wow. Triple Cs are not a good choice to do if you want to do dxm. There is an ingredient (an antihistamine called Chloropheniramine Maleate) in the Triple Cs that can cause death.

"High doses of Chlorpheniramine Maleate can cause severe and life-threatening symptoms including seizures, loss of consciousness, bleeding from skin, mouth, rectum, and vagina, and possibly death. Some brands, including Coricidin Cough and Cold contain Chlorpheniramine maleate."

Not only that, but since your friend may have been taking an anti-depressant medication, there's risk of serotonin syndrome:

Do not take DXM if you are using, or have used an SSRIs within the last 2 weeks.
SSRIs include many anti-depressants, including Fluoxetine (Prozac), Citalopram (Celexa, Lexapro), Paroxetine (Paxil), and others.
Check with a doctor if you're unsure whether you medication is an SSRI.
When combined with SSRIs, DXM may cause "serotonin syndrome" with fever, hypertension, arrhythmias, etc.

Well, I think my friend's ok. I'm pretty sure he went to the ER, but one of my other friends saw him at the mall buying more triple Cs and his latests blogs are like "OMG I TOOK 12 TRIPLE C's AND I'M FUCKED UP!"

Anyways, instead of making another DXM topic, I have another question... I got 29 pills of DXM at 30mg each, but there's guaifenesin in it at 600mg a pill. I've been reading all over about guaifenesin on erowid and Google, but all it says is that it'll make you vomit. I need to know how much is a safe level, forget about the vomit.

Oh yeah, it's Mucinex DM, and the pills are 3/4 yellow and 1/4 white. Is the yellow the guaifenesin? if so, maybe I could split the pills.....

 

rofl. Your friend is an idiot. I have no idea if you can split the Mucinex DM to take away the guaifenesin. But 600mgs is way too much if you're thinking of using the Mucinex as a dxm source. This site says that you should take "no more than 2,400 mg [of guaifenesin] in 24 hours." And, of course, that means you could only take 4 of the pills without exceeding 2400 mgs. I wouldn't risk it. Just get a different source.

 

Dont let your friends mom push you around. if she said she is gonna kick your ass then tell her to 'go to hell' because you are 'calling the cops'. DXM is not illegal and you are not responsible for what your friend swallows.

alright, i'll have to try vicks44 then. i just now had a whole 5oz. bottle of Deslym at 30mg of some DXM clone per 5mL and I'm pretty fucked up.

 

instead of putting so much effort into dxm, why not just go out and get some real drugs?

 

yea really ^^^ i fucking hate DXM, the most i've ever done was about 600mg of Max Strength, the high just dosnt feel natural. I hate the stuff.

but im talkin like 6 months later. like not ever feeling the same. never feeling fully normal again, i guess ijust have to live with it.

I've Dexed quite a few times. I love the shit. Great stuff to have when you don't have acid or shrooms. With DXM it is pretty typical to 'swim' for a day after you dose. I dunno about swimming for 6 months, sucks for you peter

I took ccc's and loved it, I love dxm. but Im pretty smart about using it, I wouldnt do it more then 2 times in a month and only do it on boring days when I have no weed or other drugs on me and have no money, I would jack a box of ccc's from longs.

yo of all the shit i've done nothing has ever fucked me up as much as dextromethorphan.that shit fucks me up more than acid. if u cant handle it thats ur problem. i fuckin love that shit.

 

shrooms never did shit for me but i like acid. but still, dxm is my drug of choice.

 

i take the mucinex max strength which has twice as much dxm (60mg) and twice as much guaifenesin (1200mg) and i took 10 and i didnt puke and i was trippin pretty fuckin good. but even if u do puke, its not easy to overdose on guaifenesin. and its not al that dangerous it will just make u puke if u take too much.

 

lol dxm clone ur gonna end up dieing from cough syrups the stuff in delysum isnt a dxm clone its coated with something to make it time release

 

delsym is some polistirex crap which is basically plastic that is time released. i'll stick with the 4oz robotussin 15mg/ml cough syrup, even if it is only 354mg
