Totally! I love heavy music (and when I say heavy, I mean it lol...Im surprised by how many people I know that consider stuff like nickelback to be heavy lol) Im quite eclectic so I like a lot of soft stuff and like alternative and punk and ska lots too but the heavy stuff is grande! Any bands in particular?
i guess you could call me a bit of a metal head. I listen to bands like Nightwish,Lacuna Coil and Arch Enemy (amongst others), aswell as bands like Enigma,pink flloyd, the doors and Jimi hendrix. So yeah i do love heavy music! peace and love xxxx
Oh here we go, I like music when its good and make no distinction in genres mostly. Im listening to Dylan right now at work, I have Tool in my car, Messhugah in my other car, Saul Williams, Chick Corea and Return to Forever, and the Mars Volta on my stereo at home, just got back from the Dead and Phish, and I would sell all worldly possessions to be a drum tech for Led Zeppelin on their tours. God, good music is just so good. I think Tool is amazing, those characters were touched by talent. Same for the Mars Volta, i think I woul consider themheavy and damn are they amazing, the sure did listen to their Santana growing up.
Anyone like Bongzilla? I'm mainly into blues and lighter stuff but I think Bongzilla are pretty good...it's not so much heavy in a thrash way but its like slow heavy bass doom music but strangely chilled out!
It's like what duckandmiss said, good music is good music! Genres are horseshit. I'll listen to The Dead one minute and Slayer the next. Miles Davis, Johnny Cash,Bob Marley,System of a Down, Phish, Velvet Underground, Willie Nelson, Bela Fleck, Pantera,ect.. Categories are pointless. In ever category there is good and there is bad. Personal taste determines which categories have more good, but it is all good. From the blues to bluegrass, metal to country, clasical to classic rock, jazz to hip-hop you can find good music everywhere. So to answer your question, eventhough I wear tye-dyes and have so-called "hippie-values", yes I like Hard and heavy music. Shit, it's what I grew up on. You can't forget your roots.
Yes, one of the more stoner metal bands out there. I've seen these guy's in concert more than any other band. All the members of the band are just so nice and cool and very fun to get stoned with.
My friend went to a gig in the UK and said they were really nice...apparently the band rang his friend who couldn't make it to gig! They seem like a good bunch of guys!
