I remember the first 'X' Cert filem I ever saw (Cert 18 by today's standards) was Carrie. I was only about 13 at the time, but easily passed for 18+ so had no problem getting into the cinema. Anyway, there was the famous shower scene, which is probably the only scene in an otherwise totally uneventful & tedious movie that anyone who has seen the film can remember. For those who have not had the questionable pleasure of seeing this film, it involves Carrie, a teenage girl at High School who has been raised in a very protected environment. Then, one day whilst in the school communial gym showers, she starts on her first ever period & she gets all hysterical about it, while all the other girls bombard her with tampons. To be honest, I didn't really understand the point of the scene until I was probably old enough to ba a legitimate viewer of the film in the first place.
