Born again of water by HS

    Beyond Beautiful I have seen,

cloud a sky for me with tree spirits
make a brain the image of this spirit
    already done, gee, thanks crayon.

How come white is the only color in the box?
No, I see black too, not to shapely though.
Moving to much, not connected like white
    smooth and graceful, energy within.

The sky cloud white energy is biggest,
the tree spirit same stuff is smaller,
and from what I've seen of brains
the energy smaller yet, lots smaller.

For those of us reborn into spirit,
we tend to get ahead of ourselves
at first the earth seems slow
there are many new seed to sow

At first the spirit souls awaken
to a new idea of sharing and healing
not one of death of the body or
protection from fear of the earth.

I am like a frozen thing thawing
like a new flower in the spring
swaying to the first warm breeze
a bud will open soon and smile

I like the transition from the box of crayons into spring and rebirth. Seems like a very solid piece, even if it resorts to a few cliches, we're all guilty of that now and again. Nice piece, I enjoyed reading it.

I guess I was mostly thinking of the last stanza. The problem is, it sounds so familiar to people that they don't really give it a careful reading, it kind of slips by them, you know. A lot of the best images have been used thousands of times. I use cliches myself, hard to entirely avoid them.
