Anyone into Killswitch? I've listened to a few of their songs and really got into them. Anyway, was just wondering what were some of their best albums. Also, are their any bands that sound like Killswitch Engage that aren't totally "freaky?" I'm not a huge Metal girl but I do enjoy some stuff. I mostly listen to techno so any music that has an electronic feel to it I can really get into.
I've only ever heard a couple songs of theirs, they weren't too bad. They were touring with Lamb of God a few years back. I was gonna see a LoG show that they were at too, but things came up and I didn't get to go
Exellent band in my opinion, All 3 albums are fantastic! Not much else to say.... Great Band. Maybe try Rammstein... I'm not really sure what you would classify as "freaky"...Also try Avenged Sevenfold or Spineshank(Song - Smothered)...You might like them... Cam
Not much else to say? Killswitch Engage's Rose of Sharyn is one of the best songs off the new album, but I really don't think the new singer (the black guy, howard jones) comes anywhere near close to the former singer who sang on "Alive... or Just Breathing?". For a comparison, download "Numbered Days" off "A...OJB" and compare it with any song off "The End Of Heartache". For other bands based on what you've said, I'd highly recommend FEAR FACTORY (songs - Linchpin, What Will Become, One Step Closer), THROWDOWN, BLOODSIMPLE, MACHINE HEAD and a bit of BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE.
They are the best band of the new wave American stuff and there are thousands of bands that have tried to copy them since alive or just breathing came out. But they themselves are abit of an At the Gates rip-off band, with added singing.
I enjoy some KSE, not my first pick of music though. Try Carpathian Forest. Although they might turn out to be something completely different to what i think they are. It's been a long time.
