I recently (2 months or so) discovered "Bright eyes" and I'd have to say they're right at the top of my list. I was wondering if anyone knew any other bands like this because I'm not that deep into the music scene. Any names would be wonderful Thanks.
try placebo... it seems i say that to everyone on here, but really. i knew this guy who called them the "industrial bright eyes".
Check out Tha Musement and suprise me Mr. Davis (Nathan sounds like the singer from BE) look under the Americana tag at the record store or internet radio
These people don't really know what they're talking about. Who would recommend Placebo to someone looking for something along the lines of Bright Eyes? Pandora really isn't that great either. Bright Eyes was one of my first experience into this genre, if somebody told me about these bands, I would have been so much more ahead. You might not like all these but I'd advise fans of Bright Eyes to check these bands/singers out. Try these bands, they're songwriters folk/indie/alternative Okkervil River The Good Life (the same label as Bright Eyes) Lovers Shearwater Cat Power David Dondero Maria Taylor (Connor Obersts girlfriend) Patrick Wolf Tegan & Sara Consafos An Angle (Try to copy Bright Eyes right down to the voice. You'd swear they were the same band.) In fact, check out the label Saddle Creek in general, they have a lot of good artists. You might not like all those artists, but you're bound to like one or two at least
