I have been staying at the camp more or less for the last month and i am going to be living there until the new year. So far this summer there has been the 22nd birthday party, a street party in glasgow opposing the "handover" of power and an occupation of the army recruiment offices in glasgow. The latter was brilliant, we rebooted computers, re-arranged furniture and super-glued file cabinets shut. It would be great to see lots of you coming up, even if only for a short period of time, to help out around camp, join in on actions or just chillin' out. Jamiexx

Heyall I e-mailed Morag about going up there a few weeks back. She asked me last time i was up there to lend a hand painting her caravan so yea i'll be going up some point but im not sure when. Hopefully before christmas ... that sounds so lame but ive go no money and time at the moment but when i do go up im going to make sure im there for a susbstantial amount of time this time rather than just the weekend.
i think i wana know more about the camp before i go..i dont want to just go up for the experience, or for a laugh or whatever...want to have the right motives...can someone please link me to more info on the camp or give me further information themselves..? and peeps, im not sayin dont go but remeber its a peace camp, with active protests and families actually living there as their home..not a holiday camp love luchi xxx
I can indeed give you a few links. If there is anything specfic that you want to know then I'm sure if you leave a question Jamie will be able to answer it for you as he lives there. http://www.faslanepeacecamp.org.uk/ (Main site. Tells you lots of the things you may need to know) http://www.teknopunx.co.uk/faslane.htm (Another site of basic information) http://www.banthebomb.org/trisaf/ch3.htm (Dangers of Trident) http://www.reclaimthebases.gzzzt.net/nbases_16.html (Has some reports of things they have been up to. Also lets you know of some events that are coming up) http://publish.indymedia.org.uk/uk/servlet/OpenMir?do=search&search_boolean=or&search_sort=score&search_content=faslane (Articles and pictures on Indymedia about the Camp)
The camp don't just want people coming up to take part in actions and get arrested. Granted if you did take part in actions it would be greatly apprieciated. But the camp really needs visitors of any kind, even if they just want a short holiday. At the moment we have "Job-day Thursdays" where everybody on site makes a list of things needing done and we try to do as much as possible on that day. The rest of the week you are free to do as you please, doing little everyday jobs you would do at home anyways. I'd say that no matter what you read about the place it won't really prepare you for what it actually is. You need to experience it first hand to see what the place is about, if you like it you are more than welcome to come again. If you don't, then you don't have to come back. Jamie
what the fuck??? she knows me as do most people here you dumbass....you say your going to faslane and IME coming along....i think youll find its the otherway round dont forget who had the decency to ask you to the fucking gatherings asshole
