ive been on birth control for about 3 weeks now for the first time in a while. im having some strange side effects. i feel anxious and have a general rushed feeling in my head. I also have times where my legs feel like jello and/or tingle like crazy. I'm having terrible mood swings and my boy usually get the brunt of those. anyone else experience side effects like these on the pill? especially kariva/micrette?
From ages 14 to 27, I took about five different brands of birth control pills. I had side effects on every single one of them. The worst ones by far were Levlin 28. I had the worst rage and mood swings I've had on any of them. The doctor tried to tell me it was depression and wanted me to start prozac, but I stuck to my guns and finally got a non hormonal IUD. You might try calling your doctor and seeing if he/she will give you a prescription for a different brand. Be prepared, however, for complete denial that birth control pills can do anything to your moods or the way you feel in general.
you are sooooo right! I had crazy mood swings while on bc. doctors love to push for more meds because there's sooooo much money involved in medicating the masses.
