i was curious, since you feel that when planting with seesds the plant should root 6 weeks, i was wondering how long they should veg once they have rooted well in there rockwool cubes and are transplanted to soil?

That depends on how big you want your plants to end up to be. I find that longer veg times allowing a clone to root at least a one gallon pot and then a transplant to a 2 gallon pot is needed. But that's the way I grow. I like finished plants with 3 oz each so they need at least some root system.

Many growers want quicker turn over and shorter veg times so they grow more plants. The yield is always dependent upon the root system. So you veg as long as you like or flower a bunch early. The finishes bud will be as good either way but the bigger plants will be bigger and nicer in my opinion. I would veg any plant until it is at least a foot tall. BOG :)
