    Heya

Yeai used to have braids like her. Well a bit like how she had them in the first two series, i havnt seen that program in a very long time. I used to get told i look like her too, but thats just because i have a lip piercing too.
What do you want to know about briads? i used to do mine myself and occasionally get the odd special one done profetionall but its VERY expencice, £5 per braid which might not sound like a lot but it adds up to about £300 because they charge you by the hour after a while and it takes about 6 hours if done quickly. I used to change my braids every month.
What do you want to know about them? ill be happy to help.

Hey .... thanks for the reply
Well my Q's are:...... Are they just tight plaits?
    Are they wrapped?
How long can u keep em in for?
Also, I work part time in a chip shop and my hair smells of chip fat when I get back so is there any kind of spray that i cud use to stop it from smelling bad??

    Thanks......
    Love, Moonshadow xXx

hey well therea many different ways you can do it.

U can do it with fake hair, but thats expencive and makes u look quite normal OR you can do it with wool and ribbon etc etc etc which looks cool (makes you look like a raggy doll) ...(well did me :D)
    for the plat ones
Firstly you have to have atleast 6 strands of your chosen wool colour
measure the length you want it to hang down to, add a little bit extra length (because it shortens when u plat it) then fold it over so its double the length :)

right here come the hard to describe bit. take the section of hair you want to put the plat in and split in two, lay the wool across the middle of the split.

now basically you do a four way platish...
you take the two sections of your real hair and cross it over so it crosses ontop of the wool.
    thenn cross the wool over
    then your real hair
and one last time the wool.
    ***
this will create a sorght of hold that stops the wool from sliding down your hair onces its platted
Then you bring your real hair together and seperate into three strands and bring the wool in and seperate it between the strands too.

    Then platt as usual.
If the wool is longer than your hair plat to the end of the wool and knott the wool, if the wools the same length as your hair take a few strande of the wool and wrap it round the bottom of the plat and knott it so its like a hair band holding the plat together :)

to make it a wrap once youve done the 4 way bit (up to where ive put ***) you just take your real hair and plat it then holding majority of the wool strands down with the plat you wrap the rest with one of the strands, making sure you change strands every couple of cm or so and assuring you trap all the wool strands into the wrap then at bottom seal as above :)

i hope you can understand that, it looks a bit confusing. I'll post some pictures of the ways i did my hair when i get home if you want.
    good luck!!!
