I would have rather been to The Isle of Wight Festival in 1970 than to Woodstock. The lineup at the Wight Festival was just as good, only without the insanity and the sound problems of Woodstock. Artists who performed at The Isle of Wight Festival in 1970 include: The Who (They gave an incredible performance which I have on DVD), The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues, Procol Harum, Joni Mitchell, Sly & The Family Stone, plus many others. It just sounds better than Woodstock if you ask me.
Woodstock had Jimi Hendrix, The Who and Sly & The Family Stone too, plus Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Band, Country Joe & The Fish, Jefferson Airplane, ... (But not The Doors). But I have to admit that the line up at Woodstock 'The greatest festival of all time' is not so impressing.
