Pluto has been downgraded from a planet to a Dwarf Planet. Even though I never thought of Pluto as a planet its still so sad they did that to our littlest and farthest neighbour :(

Needed to be done, at the time people thought it maybe the last one, now it turns out that Neptune is the last. Pluto the the largest of another group of objects, which if we make them all planets Astronomy at school will become a pretty much impossible task. Though I guess there is an argument for keeping Pluto a planet for historys sake, it has been done before.

Well, who cares wheter Pluto is a planet or not? It's still the greatest celestial body in the solar system, regardless of how you classify it. God Bless Pluto, our home sweet home....

I was disappointed with the amount of press coverage this recieved. You would think that downgrading a planet would generate some interest among the media, but I guess there is not much mainstream interest in science issues.

When you said Pluto is our neighbor, my twisted mind thought of Ned Flanders from the Simpsons becaus he says Hi diddly ho neighbor. I like the Simpsons a lot.
