It Keeps Getting Better And Better

A few years ago I mothballed my indoor grow equip. I can get enough out of my outdoor garden to supply all my needs. I don't sell and I'm growing my legal limit outside so there's no need to grow inside.
So I just opened my last 1 lb. container. a few days ago, the one that will last me till this years crop is dried & cured.
What I just opened has been curing since Oct of last year.
Man, talk about flavorfull, fragrant and smmmoooooth.
I'll be putting this years crop into curing in Sept & Oct (different strains with different budding time) and won't touch it (other than a small test smoke right after harvest) until xmas.
The main cure takes anywhere from 4--6 weeks but if it's stored under ideal condition/humidity, it just keeps getting better and better.

 

what is your legal limit? out of curiosity.

 

Man i just found some of my stash i hid in my ceiling the first time i ever bought any about four years ago and fuck the shit kicked my ass. damn weed is like wine on crack. the older the better. if in good conditions of course.

 

My legal limit is 24.
We're trying to get the limit higher.
I'd like to grow more but let me tell ya--it's SOOOO NICE being legal and not worrying.
Last week the black CAMP (campaign against marijuana plantations) copter circled my prop. 6 times. They undoubtably saw my garden--it's in plain sight from the air and almost certainly took pics.
CAMP only busts plantations themselves, so they can get on the news. Smaller grows they inform the local cops about.
If they informed the locals cops about it and they counted 2 dozen plants, the local cops probably yawned.
Plus, the cops know me. Not personally but being in a small town, we shop at the same markets, go to the same bank, etc. They know I don't cook up meth, sell pot or steal. In other words, they know I'm not a "bad guy". Even if they're not pro-pot, they know I don't cause trouble.
If they do happen to stop by, I'll just flash my documentation.

 

One thing Ive noticed with cops is that if your a nice guy they wont worry too much about ya, they always know when kids have a bag of dope they jus got, after my first possesion I havnt been bothered since, they know Im from europe and there its considered more of a past-time then it is up here, they know I dont sell it, altho they thought I was for a short time(my first possesion bust my buddys car was torn apart and I was searched due to a "tip" saying that I was trafficking marijuana). But the kids that do crack, car hop, act stupid, vandalize are always watched and busted whenever cops get a legal chance to do it. Glad to hear your buds gooood, I wish I could legally grow that would be awsome. =). But may I ask you something ranger, could you take a pic or 2 of your garden? I dont think I ever saw pictures of yours.

 

When I go out on my own and living by myself, im defiantly going to grow indoors or maybe even outdoor when the weather is right. Question though, is it easy to get caught growing? Like would the electical company notice the bill's really high or something then get the cops to consent a search? If growing was easy and no1 really got caught, then why doesnt more people do it instead of just wasting money buying weed?

 

Laziness, I would assume.

 

I think the reason more people here don't grow is because they are lazy, and they get money from mommy and daddy (allowance) to buy weed.
That attitude will change when they have to work for a living and stand on their own 2 feet.
I posted a grow guide here and practically begged people to grow their own but as far as I know most people don't want top-quality buds for a few dollars an ounce and some sweat equity.
The few people who DID follow my simple directions are just a 2--6 weeks from harvest.
They're easy to recognize. They will have a big smile on their face all year while others are begging their parents for enough $ to buy a few grams of crap.

how come they dont give you like a certain area, or designated forest plot to grow on if they are giving you a permit?

seems like that could be a headache

If they designated an area for growing, rippers would take it all. Plus, it's legal to grow tomato's, peppers , etc. but not allowed in the Nat'l Forests.

In Calif there are a lot of things you can get a Dr's recommendation to grow for.
I qualified because of insomnia, back pain and stress. It's relieves PMS and is used for a lot of other much more serious conditions such as people undergoing chemotherapy and recovering from a heart attack or stroke.

 

Question here ranger, can you just go to any old doctor(where you can get this permit) and just tell them you cant sleep and theyll hand over a weed growing permit? Or is it much more complicated than that? And between us hipforumers, did you just tell your doc that so youd be able to grow the pot legally?

 

Some Dr's (most?) won't issue recommendations because they don't want to get the rep as a "pot doctor". They're also afraid of government "revenge". In '99 the gov't started to harrass doctors who recommended pot, but the Clinton admin blocked them from doing so and a fed. judge backed them up. But it still scares doctors.
I really do have insomnia (had it all my life) back pain (came down the wrong way on a trampoline when I was 12 and had it ever since and pot is the only painkiller without adverse side effects) and I retired and moved out of L.A. due to stress.
Some Dr's are liberal--they know of the many benefits of marijuana and if you tell them you suffer from insomnia will take your word for it. Other Dr's won't recommend it unless you have a more serious condition and can prove it.
It costs about $200 for the visit, some of which the Dr. has to mail the gov't for every recommendation he writes. Some Dr's require add'l tests and/or x-rays which of course costs more $$.

Another cool aspect of being legal is that the CHP allows you to have, in your vehicle, up to 6 plants and 1/2 lb. of pot at all times if you wanna.
That's right, if you get stopped and the cops find a 1/2 lb of pot, you simply show them your recommendation and that's that. Except you'd better not have the pot divided up into dime bags--that poss. for sale. It's best to have all of it in a big container. And NO scales.
You can legally drive around with 6 big-ass plants in the back of your pick-up in plain view.
However, this does not apply to city or county cops. Their policies vary from county to county.
AND, as far as the feds go, all pot, even a single ungerminated seed is illegal.
Every year or 2 they rip off a seriously ill person's plants, to make sure people are still afraid, but 99.9% of the time they don't bust grows of under 100 plants.

One more factoid--I am anti-huge plantations on Nat'l Forest land. These purely commercial ops are usually funded by organized crime cartels and they dump huge amt's of chem. nutes and pesticides on the plants and in the soil and this pollutes the water table. They also cut down trees, which causes erosion, and the live-in caretakers (usually illegal aliens) kill deer, rabbit's and other wildlife to supplement their canned/dried food. And they leave behind huge piles of human waste and trash.
