this is a 2 part question ok so a friend of a friend has a 6 foot and lives up in new york right? i was wondering after this plant buds could we cut it way back, dig it up bind the roots and bury the whole plant horizontally and then the ground would insulate it from the frosts and then next year resurrect it and have a mondo plant. i usally keep the base stem of a plant to keep the plants soul with me so if i could prolong life that would be great to. and also this same plant just started buding it only has mabye a total of 20 resin glands and white hairs on the plant, should i prune it so that itll bud faster and also if i dont will it be ripe befor the killing frost. THanks yall!

part 1 Horticulturaly it aint going to work, and it sounds like that plant is a bit of a dog anyway so why bother if it would work.
part 2 What do you have to lose?

that more than likely will not work. but, if you take a clipping from above the first node you may still be able to make a clone out of it. if you don't have the space indoors then forget it. use the stem for slapping your friends.
