i'm a new member at this website and i thought i'd start up a new forum to see if anyone would respond. first off, i'd like to say that i am very fed up with the current state of things in america. the youth should be stepping up and mounting full fledged anti-war protests and the like. can't anyone see how similiar the war in iraq and soon to be iran is to the vietnam war. where is everyone? where are all the hippies when you need them? we could continue where the hippie culture of the 60's and 70's were headed. during the very brief period where us freaks were at our strongest numbers, we achieved the closest thing to utopia that a group of people could ever experience. 400,000 plus people peacefully coexisting at woodstock. it could happen again man and we gotta try.
perhaps, but the media doesn't show them that way. without getting the right media coverage the protests won't have the same impact on ordinary american's lives.
The problem with the 60's was that everyone outside of the youth/hippies thought it was all drug induced, and to a certain point it was. If what was happening then is to happen now and follow threw, it must be done with out the wide spread of drugs or anything is a negitive context. It must be done on the the human spirt and mind alone.
