That is complete bullshit man. It says in the video the middle class will dissapear and america was a good country because of a strong middle class. it may sound very unamerican but maybe the 9-11 terrorists should have bombed the white house.

the day will come when the western hemisphere is no longer named after a renisaunce italian map maker who never saw the place. everything chainges.

capitolism almost worked when retailing was mom and pop, infrastructure was unionized, and it had socialism to keep it honest.

i think all superpower governments are too powerful for anyone's good. what we've got now is frightning; the most powerful nation of the face of the planet being run by political opportunists and defacto organized crime.

i don't know what comes next. the hand puppet of conscousless economic intrests seems determined to start another war on yet another front.

i think something like the government killing itself in some manor of speaking is going on and people will somehow find a way to survive that. maybe not everyone. but in some way that won't keep what's going on now going.

there are no certainties. and i don't see people embracing another idiology, though even that can happen. but that won't really change more then what things are called mostly. on the other hand, real chainges, without idiological fanatacism of any flavour will come about everywhere over the breadth of this millinium.

i've never understood why people keep buying into what they have for most of my life. and i'm not about to explicitly claim what will chainge how and when, but i do suspect many things will continue to evolve in many ways. as unforseen as much of what we have now. some at least, a majority hopefully, in better ways.

at any rate the future of what i am surrounded by is not foreordained, not as the dominant paradigm sees it.

you know underneath all is the diversity of nature we all depend on, and that is not tied to political moments. and i ment moments, not movements. those either of course.

all of these conditions fill niches created by how all our priorities interact togather.
as our priorities as individuals as well as togather as a culture evolve, so to do the markets for the causes of conditions we eventualy experience.

No, I will not be sucking you off anytime soon.
Doesn't it depress the living shit out of you too? Didn't you create the thread, you don't understand why an American in their thirties would find it fucking depressing? I vote, I work..What's your deal, man?
Perhaps you like the way things are headed. The middle class being squeezed tighter everyday.
I find it incredibly depressing, & the attitudes in this forum get intolerable at times.
What an articulate response I was rewarded with. No wonder we're going further down the toilet...

a man lives a few decades. a nation a few centuries. both are eminently mortal.

there may even be a future, a hopeful and even gratifying future, beyond nations as we know them of any kind.

america has a long history of going to hell in a hand basket. a long history is no insurance of immortality however.

i doubt i'll out last it. but if i did, well i would like to see an end to super power bullying of other nations.

the oil will end and that will be a good thing, even if its a terrible thing at first, which of course it doesn't have to be either.

i'm ashaimed of what america is today, but when have i ever not been? oddly enough for the short time carter was president i didn't feel as ashaimed of what i perceived america's forign policies to be at that time.

of course i doubt if i could even stand really knowing and understanding them.

if america is supposed to be the world's police man, i cannot immagine a more dirty and corrupt cop in real life.

it's better to be living here then a lot of other places of course. it's always safer to sleep in the same tent someone is pissing out of then one the're outside of pissing in.

    i rant of course.

the future? the future is always in motion.
people will get tired of what we have now if they aren't already.

what we'll all do about it or be able to i honestly don't know.
but it is always possible for chainge to take unexpected forms.

    No, sorry to disappoint you.
I don't want to watch it, living it is enough for some people.
I never once said I had a problem with it being posted.
    Grow up.

the reality of reality is diversity. the depressing bits are part of it. but they are not the whole of it. reality contains them. it does not begin and end with them. gremlins don't spare tyrannts.

remember that. when things are at their worst. gremlins don't spare tyrannts.
no matter what they do to try and rid themselves of them.

not even tyrannts who deceive themselves into self justification by out of context quoting of revealed beliefs.

that is reality. and reality's diversity at work.
the grass will grow up between the cracks in the roadway. and no amount of agent orange will prevent this.

that is the future of all nations.

and it is a far brighter future, eventualy, then any direction we are headed at the present.

not with a bang or a wimper, but a bearly discernable distant giggle.

Then they will have ass heads, it dosent matter government, politics the curch any thing you can think of that guides or rules life while in good intentions at first, cant last because it all gets farther from nature wich we were born form.
I know this is of topic but it just came to me, and I wanted to get it down.

nations are as mortal as men, their lives just take longer. nor does the mantle of leadership bind itself to any one faction or interest. right now, the factors are so many and complex, this would be like trying to predict what the weather is going to be at a particular second ten years from now.

it looks like we're headed for some sort of dictatorial imperialism of our own ignorant, indifferent and arrogant doing. but it isn't that simple and even this is by no means certain.

what i can tell you is that no idiological fanatacism is going to get out us out of the hole we've dug ourselves by denying the connection between priorities and probabilities.

if we stop denying it and start diciplining our individual selves accordingly and then begin using better sense in the choosing of collective policies, if and when that begins to happen, THEN there will be a brighter future for those of us living here, with or without the government we have or have had.

What are you, a 12 year old moron or a pole smoking fag??? The lady gave an honest response to the post...her humble opinion, and you come of like a royal asshole. Grow the fuck up.

As far as America being the world's police man, if it is it is a poor one and on the take. One million plus people killed in cambodia and no one responds. How many died in Rowanda and no one responded. Look at the killing in present day Sudan, Darfur or a dozen other places. Sadam attacks Kuwaite (where ther is oil) and the whole world responded. We responded if there is oil or wealth involved....BUT...
No one elase in the world responds either. Where was the UN, or the EU, or France or China or Russia when millions of people were killed in southeast asia, or Africa or in the Sub-Sahara...
Maybe John Timor was right. This will be the age that is the most reviled and the most loathed in the future because we stood back and did nothing.

By the way...I didn't watch the fucking clip either and I still responded.
