Hip Planet Gathering 2007

So how many of you would come to a Hip Planet gathering if it was held in 2007 in some very kool place on the planet?
I'm thinking Amsterdam!
There is enough reviews on here and folks who have been there.
There is a ton of talent on this site in Music-Art and Healing.
We all get together for a week and all jam and hang out and let's not forget all the great Drugs that would be within short distance too.
We also run it very free-just all meet there on that week and let it flow.
What are your thoughts?

i think that would be awesome except for the fact taht a lot of ppl on here seem to be a little short on cash.. myself included. however, i totally see why you would pick amsterdam if i had the money i would definitely go. i think it would be awesome! are you thinking of setting something up next summer? did you see what happened when the west coast forumers tried to meet? bad things... very unfortunate... have to be more careful in the future.

You could all come to Woodstock. I'm in the middle of 1000's of acres of Forever wild nature here. We have tons of campgrounds too.
I would host it if there was enough people-meaning set it up not have people all over my house. LOL

that's true, i have a while to save up money.. but i'm saving up for moving and getting married and finishing school too... we'll see. i'll talk to dangermoose about it too. i'm sure he'd love the idea if we can pull it off.

oh and they had arranged evreything, been planning for months, steffan "set up a place" to meet and a couple of the forumers showed up only to see that it was an old ladies house who didnt' know what was going on... it was really shitty.

 

lol that woudl be great! i'm planning on being in toronto next summer so it'll be really close too. we'll have to keep this idea open..

Oh, you should have seen her. Poor old lady.

I was one of the unfortunate that got there. I drove 500 miles with a two month old in the back seat, on a strict tight budget just to find out that the guy that set it up had left town, shut off his cell phone (our only means to get ahold of him), and sold his property. Luckily, I called TARABELLE before they got there.

But we're taking it in stride, and using what we learned from this to make next years attempt work.

 

It wasn't funny. She was a little old lady, in a walker because her feet and legs were swollen so badly. And everytime the doorbell rang, she had to get up and cross her living room. She looked in pain, and completely pissed off.

 

Many people here don't have a life outside of Hipforums. That means they probably don't have a job, either, thus the money to fly to Amsterdam.

 

Other people live close to Amsterdam.

 

True and it's why I thought it would be a kool place. There are far more people on here on that side of the Atlantic.

If it is in Amsterdam and if I am in the Netherlands at the time you can count on me.

 

I really like the idea of a HF gathering. I think we should honestly talk to skip about maybe helping us secure donations for a camp ground or something like that. However I feel this is something that would require more than a year of planning to make it actually work.

We should also, in my opinion, set up a sort of committee to delagate certain tasks to. The summer of 2k8 sounds very doable, and would give everybody plenty of time. The most important thing, committee and donations or not, is that we would need a massive effort to make it doable.

 

weve been inviting folks here for our annual gathering for like 5 years now,, theres been no less than at least 1 or 2 folks try the same every year,,

if these forums could gather more than 25 people for a gatherin id be surprised.

most we have ever had show from these forums at once is 3,,..

tis a good thing we dont rely on these forums for phamily..
