Yeah, it just depends. I mean everybody has normal ups and downs. But when your ups and downs go off the chart and you seriouslly cant control the feelings no matter how hard you try, then that would be a sign of a true problem.

I have bipolar disorder. With medication Im fine but if you take it away no matter how hard I try I cant control my mood swings and they get so bad to the point where I could actually hurt myself. It's very strange indeed. Most people who dont have the disorder will never understand it in a million years. I didn't before I got it, I always though just people begging for attention, now that I truelly have it I understand.

Problems like this seem to be getting worse as time goes on, I think alot of it is caused by different pollutions put off by factories. I mean more and more people are truelly comming down with mental problems. As time goes on we get more and more polution in our atmosphere. I think it might be altering our brains. Of course this is just a guess.

Im on good medication now though and get along fairly well now. What a difference getting profesional help made. I still have certain ups and downs that are a little out of the normal range but im much better than I was.:sunglasse

you've had a lot happen to you. I think it's hormonal or a result of something else. regardless you should see someone.

Yeah hormonal could very well be the problem...
I developed an eating disorder when I was 11, and never got my period until I was almost 15 because of it, I struggled with an eating disorder and still do, and recently had an abortion, got put on birth control Loestrin which contained 24 active pills and only 4 sugar pills, and the next pack I had to switch to OrthoTriCyclen lo which is 21 and 7, so I think my hormones are all messed up and confused right now.

Oh honey, I hope this shit works out for you. You've been through a lot and that could defiently cause focusing issues. I still think the best advice is to see a good doctor if you are still concerned about ADD. There is one medication that is not a stimulant, which starts with an "A". I tried it and it didn't work for me, but I don't remember it changed my appetite.

Hope this helps. If you need to talk, PM me some time, Apples + Oranges! Good luck!

    Peace and love

they won't put you on addereal if you have or had an eating disorder. They put me on very high doses of zyban (basically wellbutrin) instead. It still takes my appetite away though. I had to start smoking pot again because I can't fathom eating on it. Is the adderal that bad?

Its pretty similar to many other stimulants. And they'll all leave you skinnier.

I can't really describe it. I always try and keep myself busy and if I'm not to careful I get so wrapped up in what I'm doing that I forget about other stuff, including eating.

    Not always.
Some Folk get 'used' to them (Adderall) and then
start putting the weight back on.

Just depends on the individual/ dosage...

Like most stimulants they cut down on appetite.
And like most stimulants, you can develop a tolerance.

    These aren't mutually exclusive.

But they don't support the original blanket statement
    '
And they'll all leave you skinnier'.

    Qualifers omitted by oversight?

    I neglected to finish
start putting the weight back on up to or exceeding their original starting weight.

It was marketed as a diet 'pill' before it was ruled too addictive/unsafe.

Tell me again - what's the point?

Are we attempting to demonstrate symptoms of ADD/ ADHD?
Appears that way based on this disjointed dialogue...

Oh, I remembered the non-stimulant ADHD drug. It's called strattera. Check out info on that b/c I don't think my appetite dropped that much, not as much as stimulants like ritalin or adderall.

    Peace and love

My boyfriend was on this and it caused him severe depression and an inability to get an erection or even want to have sex at all. I'm not sure if this is the case with females or not, but make sure you get all of the facts first.

That sucks. I never had a problem with any of that (especially not erections! ;)) It did cause pyschotic effects so I no longer take it. Not everyone is the same so it may work for some people. Depends on their brain chemistry.

    Peace and love

LOL, well I would imagine since you are a girl, you wouldn't have a problem with getting an erection. But if you did, that would be an entirely different topic. However for most of these types of drugs, sexual side effects are prevalent.
