today i applied for a job at wal-mart and a job at dairy queen for the school year. i was wondering if anyone knew off the top of their heads if either did drug testing, how often they did it, etc... just any info you may know. im willing to quit smoking or whatever for a month to be able to pass a one time initial drug test, but i dont want to be hit with random tests, get fired, and have my parents yell at me for smoking weed on weekends with friends. so yea any info on either would be reallly helpful...... thanks
the mart of wal definatly does and on the app they ask you questions like "do you think its ok to go to work when your just a little high?" man make sure you say no
Yes wal-mart and DQ do an initial drug test. the easiest way around this that i have found is get yourself a friend that doesn't smoke a have them pee in a condom for you. then get a pair of boxer briefs with the whity tighty fly and put the piss there to keep it warm. then go piss for the piss test. Only one problem with this though. you have to put the piss condom in your pocket till you are away from the drug testing agency. I know this sucks ass, but hey sometimes you have to do what you have to do to get a job. THis is the method i used to get a job at the pharmacy i am working at.
What kind of testing schedule depends on your job duties. If you are driving a forklift (for example) they might require random testing after you are hired. Most union contracts restrict testing to an intial test before hiring and none afterwards, unless you are invovled in an work accident. Again, it depends on the job duties. At one job I had, you pretty much had to fail the drug test to get hired.
the dude at dairy queen pretty much interviewed me and hired me right on the spot, a few minutes after handing him an application. he told me to come to work on sat and didnt mention drug testing or anything... maybe ill get lucky?
i know nobody cares, but i called the dude up at dq and out of the blue asked if they drug test... he laughed and said no... im pretty sure he tokes up too. thanks for the help though
