We sat on the hill and looked out over the roofs and into the darkness our hands woven together like a zip our legs entwined like snapped rope our heads together, using each other to support ourselves, to hold ourselves up to hold ourselves together The sky was full of nothing, no stars no light, just darkness except for the sliding dots of light on the motorway. We watched and sat and watched the people heading home. I asked her where she would like to be right now, this moment in time. "In bed with my boyfriend." We unzip and uncoil and unfurl ourselves and i wish i was a dot of light. Heading home.
