Is it just me, or do these guys rock?

Just kidding.. well yeah I just heard the album and I think it's pretty good. However, although I miss good old rock 'n' roll as much as the next person, I don't think anyone will be able to recreate it so there's no point in trying. Today's bands should believe in their ability to create a new, successful era in rock 'n' roll as opposed to trying to revisit days gone by.

 

Ok ok ok..maybe it's just me. I do so love them though, dunno why. They have such a Zeppelin sound.....

there a great band, but for some unexplainable reason im getting sick of that album already, no clue y really... greats songs but they just dont have lasting effect... something liek that

 

Anyone notice how much the singer in Wolfmother sounds like Jack White?

 

Hmmm, I always thought Ozzy Ozbourne...I like that hit "Woman"...it just makes me wanna dance lol. The rock station here in LA KROQ plays it a lot & the other one Indy 103.1 does sometimes too. The song I have in my head though is that damn "Snakes On A Plane" song...

The Joker and the Thief is very sweet imo

 

Same here!! I just can't sit still when I hear it. They have a few songs I like..Vegabond is pretty cool, Minds Eye, Apple Tree. I LOVE that guys voice.

 

i like them and are debating on wheather or not to go see them open for govt mule...it's a $50 ticket after all the ticketbastard charges and shit....

but don't they sound like a major ripoff of black sabbath/led zeppelin/jethro tull . . . all mushed together with some other 70s acid rock laced in?

still better than most new shit that comes out.

Nah they're not another Strokes.. they have talent and some very good songs, but no originality.

 

not impressed at all with the conan performance. sounded strained and noisy. like, if they were playing a show i was already at, it'd be awesome, but i dunno about shelling out 50 beans just for them. they are opening for pearl jam in europe. now THAT'S a band to see live!!!!
