I paid $19.00. I can't believe it just sold on ebay for over $40.00.

I just got it for 20.50 on ebay, last week I saw it for 61.00 that is why I was asking.

 

I was out-bid on a "Threads for Heads" two days ago, it went for over a hundred dollars! CRAZY!!!

 

Threads for heads is a great book! Lauren Clay did a terrific job at making a book for all of us kind folk who want to make our own clothes. I actually traded some essential ois and stuff for my copy. I sort of regret not paying it for it though because She put a lot of really hard work into making that book. It doesn't quite seem right to be charging $60 for it though.

i was just reading through my copy of it. personally, if i hadnt of already been sewing for a while, i dont think any of the things i made out of it would have been as good as they were. the instructions are very clear and easy to follow, but i think thats because i have a basic knowledge of sewing and 'sewing common sense'. i wouldnt recommend it for an absolute beginner as a book to learn from, but thats just my take on it.

i must say the apron top was a nice little tutorial. i enjoyed that one. those prices are CRAZY! after all, you can just go on craftster.org and one of the kind girls there will give you a free tutorial thats just as good. but i didnt pay for it, i traded some stuff for it, which i think is ok as the previous owner was done with it.

 

At the rate these things are selling for I might put my copy up on ebay. This is rediculous.

guess I waited too long to put mine on ebay. Oh well, I'm glad she's taking orders again. The money should go to the author. It's a great book.
