I'm mostly a righty for things that require fine motor skills and a lefty for things that require more power. the main exception is that I talk backwards in sign language... for some reason I just cannot do it comfortably right handed, so I mirror image all the words. I chose ambidextrous. not that I can use either hand for any activity, but rather that I favor one for some activities and the other for different activities.
Im a lefty for the most part. Write n draw with the left hand, throw with the right, masterbate with both.
there are some things i can do better with my right hand then with my left, mostly if not entirely because my father deliberately discouraged me as a child from developing equal faculty with both. these are the exception though, and pretty much limited to things like drawing and handwriting. keyboarding of course requires using both hands in coordination with each other, well maybe doesn't require but it sure goes a lot easier that way then typing with one hand and mousing with the other. i wish there were footmice, like the pedals musicians use to control functions other then what there hands do on their axes. a two axis pedal, forward/back, plus left/right, either tilt or turn, for the right foot, and and array of three footbuttons for the left that would corrispond to the mouse buttons. i don't know whey something like this isn't made, and made to plug into the mouse port. simply a footmouse. i think that would work great for most mousing applications and still leave both hands free to remain on the keyboard! when my dad worked for the railroad, in the switchtowers and stations, there were often a set of footpedals under the desk at his seat position that would key the communication radio with the trains and the various phone systems, the dispatcher's phone and sometimes the lineside phone systems as well. so anyway, no i'm not as ambi as i'd like to be, and what i'm not is for the most part more agile with my right, but what it comes to picking up things, i CAN and often do that, with both of my FEET as well as with either hand. like wiping up spills on the floor with a wet rag. i can and generaly do, that, with my feet. that and picking up things i've dropped. =^^= .../\...
That's such a good idea you know, it'd make using the computer a lot easier for some people. I'm right-handed, but left-footed and left-eyed (stupid lazy eye). Also you know people say left-handed people are more creative and right-handed people are more achidemically smart? Well all the lefties in my household are smart, and all the righties are creative! =3
Leftie I've heard that it was sort of forced on me. My mom(also a leftie) would always hand stuff to my left hand or put stuff from my right to my left. I sometimes think my bad handwriting is a result of this but who knows? also i do play a right handed guitar (see pic in signature) Jon
